Target
In Spring 2011, we crisscrossed America in search of timeless locations to shoot "Cool never Fades," Target’s Fall Style campaign. We discovered places that matched the spirit of the clothing line – authentic and retro, but very relevant. Our travels took us to a Wood Type Museum in a tiny Wisconsin town, an analog recording studio bullt in a 1930's pharmacy and the oldest Dance Hall in Texas.
Below are the stories behind these locations and the print ads they inspired.
"Hamilton Wood Type Museum" Two Rivers, WI
"Fry Pharmacy Recording Studio" Nashville, TN
"The Oldest Dance Hall in Texas" Gruene, TX
"Cool Never Fades" Facebook Experience
There are a million places like the ones above. We only found a few. So we called on our fans to show us the ones we missed – the hidden parts of America that are eternally cool. We created an interactive map where Target fans could post their favorite locations and discover new ones. It was a way to give your favorite spot a shout out on a very visible stage – Target’s Facebook page.
